I once again have a new phone and I’m recording it from my Samsung Android Phone. Happy Chinese New Year! That big day is Monday, January 23, 2012 and it’s the year of the horse! That’s my year because I’m born in 1990, which is exactly a dozen years from now.

A look at the Motorola Photon 4G phone on Sprint

Los Angeles TImes tech reporter Nathan Olivarez-Giles takes a look at the Motorola Photon 4G smartphone available from Sprint, in light of Google’s agreement to buy Motorola Mobility.

Will Sprint get the iPhone 5? pdog.ws Sprint’s rocking it with the Android handsets as of late – two of which are the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch and the Motorola PHOTON 4G. The Epic 4G Touch (or EpTouch, as I like to call it) offers a 1.2 GHz dual-core Exynos processor, 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capabilities, a front-facing camera, and Android 2.3 with the much-improved TouchWiz 4.0 UI. The PHOTON 4G offers a 1 GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU, 4.3-inch qHD display, 8-megapixel camera with 720p HD recording, and Android 2.3 with Motorola’s UI. They’re both available now for 9.99 at Sprint. The Epic 4G Touch builds on the wildly successful Galaxy S II with a bigger display and comes in at a reasonable price point, but the PHOTON 4G has an awesome wireless radio and global roaming capabilities. What is Android?
Android is an operating system for mobile phones developed by Google and several well-known companies that are active in mobile telephony. Well, well, what have we got? Looks like the new Samsung phone has received approval by the Bluetooth SIG. See that the T with three numbers after it, so, this means that T-Mobile is bound. Now the spreadsheet is a bit misleading, considering that this is the T959 and T939 later. Anyway, this should be an interesting phone for Samsung. Speculation is that this is the S Galaxy, but from the time that has passed the FCC i897 I am not so sure. Right now, apparently specifications include Android OS, TouchWiz UI 3.0, Bluetooth 3.0, 4 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and a 1 GHz processor possible(if not apparent Galaxy S ). Sounds great and all, but this is no longer time to see HSPA + Mobile to compete with the EVO, that HTC 4G? As always, leave your thoughts in the comments!
